Christopher Plummer was a Canadian actor. He trained with the Montreal Repertory Theatre alongside William Shatner. Plummer's film credits include The Sound of Music, National Treasure, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, and The Man Who Invented Christmas. He also produced the films Barrymore and The Tempest. Plummer received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Beginners and a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie for his performance in The Moneychangers. He also appeared in the series Departure.
