Maria Carta was an Italian musician. She released the albums Sardegna canta and Umbras. She also collaborated with Amália Rodrigues on the album Recital di Maria Carta e Amália Rodrigues - I lunedì del Sistina (20 novembre 1972). Carta acted in several films including Cadaveri Eccellenti, Jesus of Nazareth, La Cecilia, and The Godfather, Part II. Her most popular songs include Fizzu su coro and Disisperada.
