Afrika Bambaataa is an American DJ, record producer, and rapper. He released albums with The Soulsonic Force, including Planet Rock: The Album which featured the hit single Planet Rock, and Looking for the Perfect Beat: 1980-1985. He also released Jazzy Sensation with The Jazzy 5. Bambaataa has appeared in the documentaries Scratch, and Something from Nothing: The Art of Rap.
