J.K. Simmons is an American actor. He began his career in television and has since appeared in various films and television series. Simmons played J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy and received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Whiplash. He has also provided voice acting in various projects, appeared in numerous films such as The Accountant, The Tomorrow War, Juror #2, and Red One, and starred in popular television series including Oz, The Closer, and Goliath. Beyond acting, Simmons has made music contributions, with some of his most popular songs being Pain Killer and River of Fire.
