Anna Akana is an American filmmaker, actress, author, comedian, musician, and YouTuber. She began performing in the Los Angeles stand-up scene by age 19 and later channeled her comedic efforts into a YouTube channel in 2011. Akana has produced and directed short films and appeared in films such as Blade of the 47 Ronin, Dirty 30, Go Back to China, and Hooking Up. She has also released singles including Pretty Girls Don't Cry, Need You Now (From A Million Little Things: Season 2), and Like Beyoncé.
