Sally Field is an American actress. She won Academy Awards for Best Actress for her roles in Norma Rae and Places in the Heart. Later, she would appear in films such as Steel Magnolias, Mrs. Doubtfire, Forrest Gump, Lincoln, and The Amazing Spider-Man.

Field received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Brothers and Sisters and for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for ER. Behind the camera, she directed the film Beautiful and executive produced the television series A Woman of Independent Means.
