Zooey Deschanel

American actress and singer

Zooey Deschanel is an American actress and singer. Deschanel's film credits include Elf, Almost Famous, (500) Days of Summer, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and Trolls, for which she voiced a main character.

On television, she starred in the Fox series New Girl, which ran from 2011 to 2018, and appeared in the Apple Original series Carpool Karaoke: The Series and Physical. She also hosted the series What Am I Eating? With Zooey Deschanel.

As a singer and musician, Deschanel is a member of the band She & Him with M. Ward. The duo has released albums including Volume One, A Very She & Him Christmas, and Melt Away: A Tribute to Brian Wilson.
