Dallas Austin is an American musician, songwriter, record producer, and film producer. He produced the top five R&B hit Mr. DJ for Joyce Fenderella Irby in 1989 and later worked with Boyz II Men on their album COOLEYHIGHHARMONY. Austin released recordings under his own name and has also worked with Madonna, Lenny Kravitz, Indigo Girls, Paula Abdul, and Santana. Austin opened his own DARP recording studio and set up the Rowdy Records and Freeworld labels.
