Sam Riley is an English actor. He is known for portraying Ian Curtis in the film Control. Riley began his acting career in 2002 with minor appearances in several made-for-television movies. He has appeared in the film On the Road and in films such as 13, Maleficent, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, and Firebrand. Riley has also starred in the series SS-GB. Outside of acting, Riley released the self-titled major-label debut album with his band 10,000 Things in 2005.
