David Banner is an American rapper and record producer. He released the albums Certified, Mississippi: The Album, and The Greatest Story Ever Told. His most popular songs include Get Like Me, Like a Pimp, and Play. Banner formed one half of the rap duo Crooked Lettaz in 1999. Through his music and career, Banner has helped to raise the profile of Mississippi's hip-hop scene. Banner has also appeared in the films This Christmas and Stomp the Yard: Homecoming, as well as the series The Family Business: New Orleans.
