Rick Wakeman is an English keyboardist. He is best known for his work with the progressive rock band Yes. Wakeman released solo albums including Journey to the Centre of the Earth, Piano Portraits, and Yessonata. He co-wrote a musical version of George Orwell’s 1984 with lyricist Tim Rice. His notable songs include Space Oddity by David Bowie and In The Bleak Midwinter. Wakeman appears in the documentaries Yes Live At The Apollo, and Yessongs.
