Jim Parsons is an American actor. He is best known for playing Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory, for which he received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor - Television Series: Musical or Comedy and a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. His film credits include 10 Items or Less, Hidden Figures, The Normal Heart, and Spoiler Alert.
