In LET'S HAVE KIDS!, Phoebe (Zoe Chao) and Emma (Karen Gillan) are two lifelong friends in their late thirties. Every year, Emma suggests a fun activity for the two to do together. In past years it was fencing lessons and a trip to Mexico. This year it's having babies together. At first, Phoebe says no, suggesting she believes this scheme might require a bit more thoughtful consideration than learning to fence or sunbathing in Cabo. But eventually Phoebe says yes. The conflict comes when Phoebe gets pregnant with husband Brian (Max Greenfield) but Emma and her husband Ben (Sam Richardson) do not. Emma feels insecure and left out while her friend goes through morning sickness, birthing classes, and making new pregnant friends. Can their friendship be saved?
