

Albert King
American blues musician (1923–1992)
Albert King was an American blues musician (1923-1992). He made his first recordings for the Parrot label in 1953 and toured the US Midwest and South for more than a decade, building a devoted following and releasing singles. King released his 1967 album Born Under A Bad Sign featuring Booker T. & The MG's, which introduced him to a bigger audience and includes one of his popular songs of the same name. He later released the album In Session with Stevie Ray Vaughan. Among his popular songs are Pride and Joy and Texas Flood. He appeared in the documentary Wattstax.
