Roy Brooks

American actor

Roy Brooks was an American drummer. He co-founded M'Boom in 1970, played in Charles Mingus' band, and released the album Understanding with Woody Shaw. Brooks also released the albums Beat and Duet In Detroit. He is known for songs Soulin' and It's Time with Max Roach and Joe Chambers, as well as Waltz for Sweetcakes. He passed away in 2005.
