Tommy Dorsey was an American big band leader and musician. He led a pop-oriented big band of the 1930s and 1940s, mentored Frank Sinatra, and nurtured the talent of many singers. Dorsey released the albums Swingsation: Tommy Dorsey & Artie Shaw with Artie Shaw and The Song Is You with Frank Sinatra. His most popular songs include I'll Never Smile Again and Marie (From The Awakening). The soundtrack to the film The Awakening also featured the song You're Lonely and I'm Lonely performed by Frank Sinatra. Dorsey appeared in the documentary The Fabulous Dorseys and the films A Song Is Born and Du Barry Was a Lady.
