Ellen Burstyn is an American actress. She starred in The Exorcist and The Exorcist: Believer, and appeared in Draft Day, Interstellar, and The Last Picture Show. She received an Academy Award for Best Actress for Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore and Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for Political Animals. She won a Tony Award for her role in Same Time, Next Year. Burstyn was inducted into the American Theatre Hall of Fame in 2013.
