Count Basie was an American jazz musician and composer. He released the albums Basie & Zoot, Prime Time, and The Atomic Mr. Basie. Basie collaborated with Frank Sinatra on the album Sinatra-Basie: The Complete Reprise Studio Recordings and songs including (Love Is) The Tender Trap. He also collaborated with Sammy Davis Jr. on songs Shiny Stockings and The Girl from Ipanema. Posthumously, albums such as The Complete Atomic Basie and The Complete Decca Recordings were released. He also appeared in the films Stage Door Canteen, Cinderfella, and Blazing Saddles.
