Michael Gira is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, author, and artist. He founded Young God Records and led the avant-garde rock band Swans. Gira released the albums Drainland and The Milk of M. Gira - Collected Solo Home Recordings 2001-2010. His most popular songs include Where Does Your Body Begin?, You See Through Me, and Why I Ate My Wife. Gira appears in the documentaries Sound and Chaos: The Story of BC Studio and Where Does a Body End?
