Joshua Weilerstein
Joshua Weilerstein is an American violinist. He served as Concertmaster of the Discovery Ensemble, and was appointed Assistant Conductor of the New York Philharmonic. Weilerstein was also appointed Artistic Director of the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne. He released the album Eichberg: Symphony No. 3 - Morpheus with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and Robert Spano, Rachmaninoff & Gershwin: Rhapsody featuring Martin James Bartlett on piano and the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and Reger: Piano Concerto, Op. 114 & Solo works featuring Markus Becker and the NDR Radiophilharmonie. Weilerstein has performed popular works such as Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43: Variation 18 (Andante cantabile) with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Piano Concerto in F Minor, Op. 114: II. Largo con gran espressione from Reger: Piano Concerto, Op. 114 & Solo works, and Double Bass Concerto in B Minor: I. Allegro moderato with the Brussels Philharmonic. Weilerstein has also hosted the music podcast Sticky Notes: The Classical Music Podcast.
