Conrad Janis was an American actor and musician. He played Mindy's father on Mork & Mindy, co-starring with Robin Williams. Janis led The Beverly Hills Unlisted Jazz Band in the 1980s, releasing the albums Collector's Edition and This Joint Is Jumpin' with the group. One of his most popular songs with them was Battle Hymn of the Republic. He also released the album Conrad Janis and His Tailgate Jazz Band 1950-1951 and gigged as a freelancer from the 1950s onward between acting jobs. Janis appeared in the films Brewster's Millions and Oh, God! Book II.
