Canadian-American singer, songwriter, and actor

Bob Nolan was a Canadian-American singer, songwriter, and actor. He joined the Rocky Mountaineers in 1931 and formed the Sons of the Pioneers in 1933. A key figure in Western music, Nolan composed songs such as Cool Water and Tumbling Tumbleweeds. Nolan’s film career began in 1934 as the singing voice for Ken Maynard in In Old Santa Fe, and he appeared in over 80 Western films including Song of Texas, Eyes of Texas, and Melody Time. Nolan passed away in 1980.
