Stan Jones was an American songwriter. He wrote the iconic Western song (Ghost) Riders in the Sky. Jones was assigned as a technical advisor on the Columbia Pictures movie The Walking Hills. He also wrote What God Has Joined Together and Hand In Hand with Ashford Sanders. Jones appeared in the film Ten Who Dared and the television series Sheriff of Cochise.
