Marko Hietala is a Finnish musician. He formed the band Tarot in 1984 with his brother Zachary and was a member of Nightwish. Hietala has released three solo albums: Roses from the Deep, Mustan sydämen rovio and Pyre of the Black Heart. He is a frequent collaborator with Delain, appearing on the band's records, and has guested on albums by Altaria, Amorphis, Charon and Ayreon. Hietala appears in the film Imaginaerum and has performed popular songs such as Frankenstein’s Wife and Left on Mars featuring Tarja Turunen.
