Michel Legrand was a French composer. He wrote the score to The Thomas Crown Affair, released the album Legrand Jazz, and appeared in the film Cleo from 5 to 7. Legrand's most popular songs include Les moulins de mon cœur, 'Round Midnight, and Love Theme from Lady Sings the Blues. He received an Academy Award for Best Original Dramatic Score for Summer of '42 and an Academy Award for Best Original Song Score for Yentl. Legrand passed away in 2019.
