Johnny Darrell

Johnny Darrell was an American country musician. He established a trend of introducing lyrically adventurous songs. Darrell was discovered by Kelso Herstin, a producer working for United Artists, on the recommendation of Bobby Bare. Darrell served in the army and managed a Holiday Inn near Music Row. Darrell also released the singles Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town / With Pen in Hand and Angel Band / Little Delta Church. He passed away in 1997.
