

Sid Silvers
American comedian (1901-1976)
Sid Silvers was an American comedian. He commenced his professional career in vaudeville in the early '20s as a comedy partner of Phil Baker, a partnership that endured until 1928 and was a significant influence on the 1951 film The Stooge. Silvers made his Broadway debut in the review Artists and Models and later appeared in films such as Broadway Melody of 1936 and Born to Dance.
