Alex Newell is an American actor, singer and Tony Award-winning Broadway performer. They appeared in the Fox musical series Glee, the film Geography Club, and the series Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. Newell won a Tony Award for their performance as Lulu in the Broadway production Shucked. They released their debut EP POWER in 2016, featuring the track This Ain't Over, and have since released the singles Independently Owned with the Original Broadway Cast of Shucked, Mama Told Me, and Keep Marching with Shaina Taub.
