Daniel Olbrychski is a Polish actor. He established himself in Poland as the star of The Ashes. Olbrychski then became a prominent supporting player in European films of the 1970s and 80s, appearing in works by Andrzej Wajda, Miklos Jancso, Margarethe von Trotta, and Joseph Losey. He has appeared in films such as The Tin Drum, 1920 Battle of Warsaw, Salt, Anthony Zimmer, and The Unbearable Lightness of Being.
