Kyra Sedgwick is an American actress. She appeared in films such as Phenomenon, Secondhand Lions, The Game Plan, and Villains, and starred in the series The Closer from 2005 to 2012. For her role in The Closer, she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2010. Sedgwick met and later married Kevin Bacon after working together on the PBS film Lemon Sky. The two have since frequently collaborated. She graduated with a theatre degree from the University of Southern California, directed the film Space Oddity, and has also produced the films Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe and Cavedweller.
