Welsh entertainer, actor, comedian, and singer (1921–2001)
Harry Secombe was a Welsh entertainer, actor, comedian, and singer (1921-2001). He released charting records in the United Kingdom in the late 1950s, including the album Live, Love & Laugh. Among his most popular songs are If I Ruled The World with Roy Castle from the Original Broadway Cast Of Pickwick, On with the Motley, and The Wedding Feast with Hattie Jacques and Roy Castle. He starred in the radio series The Goon Show with fellow comedians Peter Sellers, Spike Milligan, and Michael Bentine. Secombe also appeared in films such as Penny Points to Paradise, Down Among the Z Men, Jet Storm with Richard Attenborough, and Oliver!. He was knighted for his contributions to the entertainment industry in the early 1980s.
