

Don Ameche
American actor
Don Ameche was an American actor (1908-1993). He began his career as a major radio star in the early 1930s and later transitioned to films, primarily appearing in productions for 20th Century Fox, such as 1943's Heaven Can Wait. Ameche won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Cocoon and went on to star in the sequel Cocoon: The Return. He also appeared in Harry and the Hendersons, Trading Places alongside Jamie Lee Curtis, and Oscar with Sylvester Stallone. Ameche passed away in 1993.
