Irene Papas was a Greek actress. She began her career as a variety performer before transitioning to Greek films in the early '50s. Papas went on to star in notable films such as Zorba the Greek, The Guns of Navarone, Z, and Lion of the Desert. She also appeared in the television series Moses the Lawgiver and The Odyssey. Irene Papas passed away in 2022.
