In the ensuing years, she acted across film and television, appearing in movies like Divorce American Style and In & Out and having multiple TV cameos, including recurring guest spots on Rugrats and Will & Grace. The documentary about her life with her daughter Carrie Fisher Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds premiered at Cannes in 2016; she died in December of that year, a few days after Fisher.
