Snoop Dogg acquired the rights to his former label home Death Row Records in 2022, and the year of 2026 is a particularly productive one for the squad: Snoop Dogg released 10 Til’ Midnight (his third album in as many years) that April, and Kurupt dropped Tales from My Hood with DJ Battlecat a few months later (Kurupt also joined with Rakim and Masta Killa for THE GODBODY LP in September, which was released outside of Death Row). The Hollow is a short but sweet collaboration of Snoop and Kurupt flexing over classic feel-good West Coast vibes. “Neighbors” features gangsta rap bars over fat Rick Rock synths, the laidback pianos of “Priceless” make for a good life anthem that’ll combat the dour moods of the impending winter, and “Survival” balances smooth and sinister in a way that only Snoop and Kurupt can achieve.
