After his father's death, Kang Sung Jae (Park Ji Hoon) enlists in the military, hoping for an escape from the pain of his daily life. However, a mysterious virtual screen appears in front of him one day, informing him that he's started a quest to become an army cook. Despite having minimal experience, Sung Jae dutifully takes on his missions, assisted by Yoon Dong Hyun (Lee Hong Nae), a senior chef who's terrible at his job. As Sung Jae completes his tasks across the base, he levels up as a chef – but soon discovers that his quests are also leading him to uncover dangerous secrets that might be related to how his father died.
