Danielle Brooks is an American actress. She played Taystee in Orange is the New Black and later starred in the films Eat Wheaties!, Mahalia, and The Color Purple. Brooks also appeared in the series Peacemaker alongside John Cena. Beyond acting, she has released the singles Black Woman, Hell No! featuring Megan Thee Stallion and Timbaland, and I Am Woman.
