Domee Shi is a Chinese-Canadian Pixar animator, storyboard artist, and director. Her webcomic My Food Fantasies led to her scoring an internship at Pixar. She worked as a storyboard artist on Inside Out, The Good Dinosaur, and Toy Story 4. Shi made history as the first female to direct a solo Pixar film with her 2018 short film Bao, and she went on to direct the Pixar features Turning Red and Elio.
