Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is an American actor. He played Black Manta in the DC Extended Universe film Aquaman and later reprised this role in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Abdul-Mateen II also appeared in HBO’s Watchmen series in 2019, for which he received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie in 2020. He has also appeared in the films The Greatest Showman and Ambulance.
