Bennie Maupin
American musician
Bennie Maupin is an American musician. He released Penumbra in 2006 and Early Reflections in 2008. Maupin also released Symphonic Tone Poem for Brother Yusef with percussionist Adam Rudolph in 2022. He was a founding member of Herbie Hancock's Headhunters band and released Moonscapes, Slow Traffic to the Right, and The Jewel In the Lotus. Maupin has collaborated with Carlos Nino and Marcus Gilmore on notable tracks. His most popular songs include Ensenada and Kiseki.
