Eric Whitacre is an American composer. He has written many wind band compositions and presented works for orchestra. He released Light & Gold, his first album as both a composer and conductor, in 2010 and received the Grammy Award for Best Choral Performance. Whitacre also released the album Home with VOCES8. Some of his most popular works include Sing Gently, Goodnight Moon, and The Seal Lullaby. Whitacre also collaborated with the Los Angeles Master Chorale on the album The Sacred Veil.
