Louis Armstrong was an American jazz musician, trumpeter, and singer (1901-1971). Louis Armstrong formed his own groups, The Hot Five and The Hot Seven, and his albums include the compilation The Best of the Hot 5 & Hot 7 Recordings. Armstrong released albums with Ella Fitzgerald including Ella and Louis and Porgy and Bess, and also released the single The Nearness of You with her. He appeared in films such as High Society, Paris Blues, and Hello, Dolly!. A Kiss to Build a Dream On is one of Armstrong's most popular songs.
