John Doe is an American singer, songwriter, actor, poet, guitarist, and bass player. He is a founding member of the Los Angeles punk band X and stepped out as a solo artist in 1990. As a solo artist, John Doe released the albums A Year In the Wilderness and Keeper. He also released Country Club with The Sadies, which included one of his most popular songs, Stop the World and Let Me Off. John Doe appears in the films Pure Country, Forces of Nature, and The Rage: Carrie 2.
