Charlie Robison was an American singer (1964-2023). After spending time in Nashville, he headed home to his native Texas and toughened up his sound. He released acclaimed albums on Dualtone Records in the 2000s, including Good Times and Life of the Party, and also released Step Right Up on the label. His most popular songs included New Year's Day, My Hometown, and El Cerrito Place. Robison appeared in the films Charlie Robison: Live at Billy Bob's Texas and The Big Day.
