Angela Gheorghiu is a Romanian opera soprano. Her recordings include Donizetti: L'elisir d'amore with Roberto Alagna and Evelino Pidò, and Puccini: Il trittico with Antonio Pappano and the London Symphony Orchestra. She also appears on Puccini: La Rondine with Pappano, Roberto Alagna, and Inva Mulla Tchako. Gheorghiu's popular works include Andrea Chénier: La mamma morta, with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Marco Armiliato, and Carmen, Act 3: Je Dis Que Rien Ne M'épouvante [Micaëla] with the Bavarian State Orchestra and Giuseppe Sinopoli. She has also recorded Carmen, WD 31, Act I: Habanera with Michel Plasson and the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, which includes the famous aria L'amour est un oiseau rebelle. Through these recordings, she demonstrates her talent in various operatic arias. She has appeared in films including La Bohème, Tosca, and the documentary Pavarotti.
