

Carol Channing
Carol Channing was an American actress. She originated the role of Lorelei Lee in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress - Motion Picture for Thoroughly Modern Millie. The same year, she appeared in the film Skidoo alongside Richard Kiel and Jackie Gleason. Channing was featured in several documentaries including The Line King: The Al Hirschfeld Story, Carol Channing: Larger Than Life, and The Outrageous Sophie Tucker. She performed with Zero Mostel in a Greenwich Village club and released one album titled No for an Answer (Re-mastered Archival Recording) with Martin Ritt and Lloyd Gough. Her popular songs include How I Love Them Old Songs, I'm Going Home / Mama's Gonna Fix the Baby's Wagon, and I Want My Arms Around You. Channing passed away in 2019.
