Cynthia Nixon is an American actress, activist, and theater director. Nixon is best known for her role as Miranda Hobbes in the iconic series Sex and the City, for which she received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. She has also portrayed Eleanor Roosevelt in Warm Springs, Michele Davis in Too Big to Fail, and appeared in The Gilded Age and And Just Like That…. Nixon further won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her role in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
