

George Carlin
American stand-up comedian, social critic, actor, and author
George Carlin was an American stand-up comedian, social critic, actor, and author. He began appearing at prominent New York clubs like Café Wha and The Bitter End and, while still in the Air Force, started working as a disc jockey at a local radio station. He made several appearances as a guest host on The Tonight Show and starred in the sitcom The George Carlin Show. Carlin's other acting credits include the Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure franchise, Jersey Girl, Scary Movie 3, and the series Larry McMurtry's Streets of Laredo. Carlin recorded several comedy albums, five of which received the Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album.
