Albert Lee

English guitarist

Albert Lee is an English guitarist. He became one of the top rockabilly guitarists in the world in the 1970s and has been one of the most in-demand session guitarists in Nashville and Los Angeles. Lee switched to guitar, discovered the music of Buddy Holly & the Crickets, and was a top R&B guitarist in the mid-1960s. He released the albums Heartbreak Hill, Tearing It Up, and LIVE at the Prince of Wales Hotel 1988 with Vince Gill. His most popular songs include Back In the USA, Country Boy, and Lay Down Sally with Sammy Kershaw. Lee appears in the documentary Turn It Up!: A Celebration of the Electric Guitar.
