Tom Cruise is an American actor and producer. One of his breakout roles was playing Navy fighter pilot Maverick in Top Gun, which he reprised in Top Gun: Maverick, starring in the latter alongside Jennifer Connelly and Jon Hamm. Some of Cruise's most notable film credits include starring roles in Risky Business, Rain Man, A Few Good Men, Minority Report, and War of the Worlds. He received Golden Globe Awards for his roles in the films Born on the Fourth of July, Jerry Maguire, and Magnolia. He is also known for playing the title character in the Jack Reacher franchise and Ethan Hunt in the Mission: Impossible film series, which he has also produced, including Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation and Mission: Impossible - Fallout.
